In 2009, our family moved to the mountains of Colorado where our youngest daughter Lily could thrive in the crisp clean
mountain air and exercise her lungs to help fight the effects of cystic fibrosis. We began to sell handmade valentine
cards at the local Aspen bookstore to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis and to support Lily staying in tip-top shape.
Ski bear cards were made next and sold throughout Colorado--little did we know they would become iconic and highly
sought after! Then stores started to request designs featuring more animals, landscapes and skis! Quickly the collection
expanded to include gondola, mountain, barn, horse, cat, and dog cards. Naturally, mermaids and whales followed ;)
So in 2016, we made the hobby official and co-founded Lilybart LLC. Why the name? Because Lillian (Lily) Bartholomew
Royer is fondly referred to as ‘Lilybart’ by her great-grandmother. So we chose this endearing moniker as the name of
our endeavor to bring joy through our creations, while raising awareness on Cystic Fibrosis and providing access to
integrative medicine.
And now, Lilybart has grown from a local Aspen card purveyor to a national greeting card and paper company!
